SUS 440C balls are martensitic-type stainless steel balls, which are used extensively in bearing applications that require corrosion-resisting properties. 440C balls are resistant to corrosion from fresh water, steam, crude oil, gasoline, perspiration, alcohol, blood and foodstuffs. Maximum resistance to corrosion and tarnishing is only achieved when 440C is fully hardened and surfaces are polished to a high luster. H.R.T. manufactures 440C balls in vacuum melt condition upon request, with SGS and RoHS Certificates.

AISI 440C Stainless Steel Ball is the most hard one in stainless steel balls. Its hardness is close to the bearing steel ball, but the latter is more easy to rust and corrode. It offers the maximum in materials strength and fair corrosion resistance. They resist alcohol, good environments, fresh waters, many petroleum products, organic materials and steam.
