Metal shrapnel belong to metal stamping parts (also known as pots or metal dome, snap dome), the use of ultra-thin (0.05mm-0.1mm thickness) and ultra-thick (generally high hardness) made of stainless steel 301 or 304 material. Metal shrapnel is an important part of the switch. Metal shrapnel is mainly used in membrane switch, contact switch, PCB board, FPC board, medical equipment and other products.
The working principle of the metal shrapnel: The metal shrapnel on the thin film key is located on the conductive part of the PCB (most of which is located above the gold finger on the circuit board). When pressed, the center of the shrapnel is concave and touches the line on the PCB , Thus forming a loop, the current through, the whole product will be able to work properly.
General conventional metal shrapnel, according to their different shapes are divided into: round metal shrapnel, cross-shaped metal shrapnel, triangular metal shrapnel, oval metal shrapnel.
