Product description:

This product is a water-based organic polymer emulsion, compatible with cement, quartz sand to form two-component waterproof coating. The waterproof coating is environment-friendly and nontoxic, suitable for waterproofing of roof, external wall, toilet, bathroom, kitchen, underground facilities and reservoir in industrial and civil buildings.

Preparation :

Mix the emulsion and dry powder at the mix ratio of 1: 1 by weight, and stir the mixture with a stirrer evenly. It is ready to use when it is uniform and free of aggregate.

Treatment of base surface:

The base surface shall be smooth, clean, moist, solid, and free of dust, water and oil. Repair the pits, cracks and other defects in the base surface first. Repair the leakage when necessary. Shape the external corner and internal corner into arc. Damp the dry base surface before applying coating.

Construction conditions:

▪ It is advisable to apply coating in the temperature range between 5℃ and 35℃; but it is not suitable to apply coating in rain and snow.

▪ Avoid direct exposure or high temperature during film-forming and curing. When the temperature is too high and the water evaporates too fast, spray water on the surface to prevent cracks from appearing on the surface. If it is raining during the curing process, cover the surface with plastic films to prevent the rain from peeling off the coating.

Construction process:

▪ Base surface cleaning: First clean the concrete pits and dust off the surface with a broom, and ensure that there is no water on the base surface.

Pour the emulsion components into the mixing tank; slowly add the supporting dry powder components while stirring to prevent the powder from agglomerating; stir the mixture 5 minutes after adding powder until you obtain the uniform and fine mixture. Apply the prepared mixture within an hour. The shelf life of the mixture under sealed conditions can be extended accordingly, but stir the mixture before use to prevent precipitation.

 

 

 

 

 

▪ Coating construction

⒈ Sprinkle water on the base surface to keep it moist;

⒉ Pour the prepared mixture in barrels. With a paint brush or plastic trowel, apply the coating evenly on the base surface; keep the coating thickness uniform.

⒊ Apply coating in three to four passes until the coating thickness reaches 1.2 ~ 1.5mm;

⒋ When the first pass of coating is dry (in about 2 to 5 hours, depending on the weather), immediately apply the second, three and four passes of coating (in the same method as the first pass). Check whether there are missing coating or bubbles in some areas before applying the next pass; if any, repair and re-paint such areas;

⒌ To avoid the impact on coating quality due to the fluidity, apply coating on the corners and facades in multiple thin passes (four passes 1.2 to 1.5 mm thick are advisable).

Precautions:

▪ In case the waterproof coating is over-thick, dilute it with water.

▪ Use 32.5 (R) or above ordinary Portland cement;

▪ Stir the coating well before use;

▪ Recommended dosage: about 1.0kg/m2 in 1mm thick layer;

▪ This product is the non-hazardous chemical, which can be transported as ordinary goods.

Waterproof plastic packaging:

Packaged in 5kg, 20kg and 50kg plastic drums.

Shelf life:

The shelf life of product in unopened packages stored in a dry, cool environment is one year.
