Fast cure with primer solvent free polyurethane sealant for auto windsheild

Description

Surtek 3358 is a one component, moisture-curable solvent free polyurethane adhesive sealant. It is non-sag, of high bonding strength. And it has good vibration and weather resistance. The product is manufactured in accordance with ISO9001/ISO14001/TS16949.

Uses

Surtek 3358 is used for windshield bonding, bus body bonding, and other high-strength request bonding and gap filling. 

 

Application Note

• Clean surface to make it clean, dry, free of oil or grease.
• Apply the Comensflex Activator and Comensflex Primer on the surface if needed.
• The sealant cures with the moisture in the air. The lower the temperature and humidity is, the slower the curing is; and the higher the temperature and humidity is, the faster the curing is.

• The s ested work temperature is 5-35°C, the best work temperature is 15-25°C.

 

Property of the Sealant Layer

1. The product cures with the moisture in the air, which forms a high strength elastic structural sealant layer.  

2. The sealant layer is resistant to water, weak acid, neutral cleaner which do not contain chlor-alkali. It can shortly resistant to fuel, oil, fat, and crude oil. But it should be avoided strong acid, lye, bleach and other organic solvent.

3. The sealant layer can be trimmed before curing. But after curing, it can only be removed by cutters.

Storage

When stored at the recommended conditions in original, unopened containers, this product has a shelf life of 9 months (cartridge), 6 months (sausage).   

The shelf life of polyurethane sealant is related to the temperature and humidity of the environment. The recommended storage temperature is 5-25°C, humidity is ＜50% RH. It is strictly prohibited that the transportation or storage temperature is over 30°C or the humidity is over 80% RH. And high-temperature container transportation is prohibited as well. In the long-time high temperature and high humidity storage environment, the product is easy to get viscous, extrusion will be deteriorated and shelf life will be shortened.

 

Caution

1. The sealant is moisture curable, which should be used up once opened.

2. Other application process should be done within skin formation time, or it will affect the adhesion performance.

3. The curing rate is affected by the temperature and humidity. If it cures too fast, the sealant layer may have bubbles, and affect its quality.
