Compared with the traditional screw sludge dehydrator, Screw Sludge Thickener is also advanced in the low operating & maintenance cost, dewatering performance, smell protection, noise, automatic control, service life and labor intensity, etc. The sludge can be condensed rapidly and continuously in the secondary sedimentation tank, meanwhile, after condensed and separated, the sludge concentration can be adjustable between 90% and 96% stably, there are many advantages after make use of this device, such as no need concentrated tank, small area, less cost, effectively reduce the odor & phosphorus release caused by sludge concentration tank, easy the following treatment process, greatly improve the process capacity of sludge dewatering and deep dehydration equipment.

Working Principle
Screw Sludge Thickener mainly consists of condensed body, drive mechanism, filtrate tank, mixing system, frame etc. During operating, the sludge is conveyed to the mixing tank by sludge pump, meanwhile, polymer feed pump feeds polymer liquid to the mixing tank quantificationally , the sludge is mixed completely with the polymer liquid under the drive of mixing motor system, thus, the floccs appears, when the liquid reach the sensor level of liquid sensor, the screw body will get into operation, and the sludge is being pressed into the screw body, then, being lifted to sludge outlet port step by step under the drive of screw shaft, the filtrate will come out between the fixed ring and moving ring clearance at the same time.
Generally speaking, Screw Sludge Thickener makes use of screw extrusion principle, it is a new solid and liquid separator, with strong extrusion pressure generated by the distance change of screw diameter, pitch, and small gap between and movable ring and the fixed ring.
