There is a special single screw extruder which is called "rotary head extruder" in the extruders business field. It is manufacturer based on US design and technology only for puffed corn curls. The product shape is like chili. In different market, this product was named with Kurkure, Cheetos, Nik naks, etc. 

The reason why we say it is a special extruder is raw material is only "corn grits". It is after crushing of corn, and with big size(not powder). (Attached photo for reference).

Fried kurkure production line:

mixer→ screw conveyer → DLG76 single-screw extruder → hoister →screen roller → continuous fryer → de-oiling machine → flavoring drum → cooling machine → (packing machine)

Roasted kurkure production line:

mixer→ screw conveyer → DLG76 single-screw extruder → hoister → 5-layer 5 meter roasting oven → hoister → flavoring drum →  oil sprayer → cooling machine → (packing machine)
