1.  Halnn Tools BN-S200 CBN Brazing indexable Insert High speed Machining Hardened Steel Wind Power Bearing

Wind power bearings are often made of 42CrMo4 main material, and then subjected to the following steps for forging technology.

（1）Roughing: Forging type wind power bearings are processed, and carbide tools are selected for processing. For high hardness (above HRC454), Halnn Tools cubic boron nitride inserts can be selected to achieve a depth of 7.5mm. After that, there is a corresponding machining allowance for the subsequent finishing.

（2）Heat treatment: heat treatment of wind power bearings after roughing to improve the hardness, wear resistance and impact resistance of the workpiece, and obtain a good service life.

（3）Finishing: Finished machining of heat-treated workpieces. With the development of modern technology, surface roughness turning tools with accuracy requirements of Ra0.8 can meet the requirements.

The hardness and wear resistance of ceramic inserts are higher than those of cemented carbide inserts. However, due to the large brittleness, large machining allowance or easy-disintegration when there is intermittent working condition in the machined part, there is a certain limit in the field of turning instead of grinding bearings. .

The Halnn Tools PCBN insert is currently a more effective material for turning bearings instead of grinding. In particular, the BN-S20, BN-S200 and BN-H11 grades are widely used in the hard turning of bearings. And for different processing conditions, choose different tool grades, BN-S200 and BN-H11 grades are used for continuous cutting conditions, BN-S20 grades are suitable for any working conditions (continuous, interrupted cutting conditions).
