Steel Property

D2 steel is a widely used high carbon high chromium cold work mould steel, it offers high hardenability and abrasive resistance, it has nice corrosion resistance after quenching and polishing, small deformation after heat treatment.

Application

D2 cold work steel can be used in cutting, punching, stamping tools, shear blades, thread rolling dies, cold extrusion dies, drawing and bending tools, flanging and straightening tools, fine cutting tools, deep drawing tools, drill bushes, coining dies, plastic moulds for abrasive polymers.
