Bucket Elevator Conveyor Chain Shackle Connectors

Hardened shackles for conveyors are manufacutred from 2 distinct materials, both is all high tensile steel, that depends on hardness of customers' requirements.

Highly resistant shackles of  quality for conveyors are manufactured in accordance to the DIN 745 norm from manganese alloyed steel ( 21Mn4Al). Surface hardness 700 HV measured 0,25 mm below the surfaceat the bend, Hardening depth Eht at 0,06 d amounts to more than 550 HV and depends on the shackle size.

Testing force 125 N/mm2, breaking force 240 N/mm2.

These drop forged connectors are designed to bolt  to scraper bars, thereby enhancing their mechanical properties. It is important to ensure that bolt is correctly tightened, otherwise full benefits of this type of shackle are lost. Rigid assemblies improve location in the pan and reduce build up of the force. The connectors are based on specification ISO: 1082.
