Bentonite can be directly added to rubber to make it flame retardant, insulating and wear resistant. Bentonite is also added to stationery erasers.
Bentonite (clay) is used in rubber shoes, such as synthetic sole, moulded sole, fence, sponge inner heel and so on. Especially low-pressure insulating rubber shoes and flame retardant rubber shoes, bentonite (clay) is added. It is mainly compatible with natural rubber, cis-butadiene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber and recycled rubber.
Bentonite (clay) is widely used in rubber insulation products, such as wire and cable, cable sheath, insulating tape, power plug, etc.
In the production process of rubber products, because the self-adhesive compounds of the mixtures will adhere to each other during the processing process, it is difficult to process and transport them. Therefore, a layer of separator will be applied on the corresponding films before the final products of the mixtures are manufactured, such as extrusion, extrusion and hot-mixing before handling and storage, in order to prevent the film from sticking to each other. Rubber isolator is mainly used for isolation of rubber film in tire manufacturing enterprises in the process of rubber mixing. It can also accelerate the cooling of film. It can also be used for preventing adhesion between rubber compound or resin and mould. Rubber film isolator is a mixture of fatty acid salt inorganic mineral filler, layered silicate montmorillonite suspension agent, surfactant, etc. It is dispersed in water, and 3-4% of the dispersion is a stable suspension. When the mixed film is impregnated (or sprayed) by suspension, an elastic film is formed on the surface of the film to prevent adhesion and dust deposition between the films, thus avoiding the trouble in subsequent processing. Bentonite suspension agent has excellent thickening and suspension properties. It is a good suspension agent in film isolator. At the same time, its nano-flake structure is also an important solid isolation component of the separator.
This product is purified and modified smectite clay. It is a milky white powder with soft texture. It has excellent expansibility, colloid dispersion, suspension, thickening and thixotropy in water. It is an excellent anti-settling agent and latex stabilizer for water-borne system.
