Beeswax is produced by bees in the form of tiny scales which are "sweated" from the segments on the underside of the abdomen. To stimulate the production of beeswax the bees gorge themselves with honey or sugar syrup and huddle together to raise the temperature of the cluster. To produce one pound of wax requires the bees to consume about ten pounds of honey.

Beeswax is one of nature's most amazing products! It is derived from the nectar of flowers collected by honeybees (the same source that honey comes from). Honeybees have four pairs of glands on the underside of their abdomen that produces this increade product. They use this beeswax to build the wax comb within their hives. Beeswax is considered to be among man's earliest raw materials having been used for thousands of years to make cosmetics, medicines and art.

Beeswax is a very hard, sticky substance. Because of this, it can be difficult to break into small chunks to use in recipes. We recommend to use beeswax pastilles to forego this messy process. They are especially easy to measure and pour. With a beautiful light gold color and sweet honey aroma, they are completely ready-to-use. No addiitonal processing or filtering necessary.

Raw Material

Our team have more than 30 years experience in collecting and selecting beeswax raw material and build long-term-friendly relationship with our bee farm. We collected more than 1000MT raw beeswax every year.

 

Processing Technology

 

We have three line bee wax production line and one of advanced Germany filtration, molding and prilling equipment and automatic production control system, All tanks pipes and fittings are made of stainless steel, the temperature and weight are controlled by PLC to ensure the accuracy of production, while the internal cleaning system in the tank reduces the risk of cross contamination between batches. It fully conforms to the domestic and international pharmacy grade with GMP workshop.

 

Quality Control

After our QC check and accept each batch raw beeswax, will divide them into A, B, C, D grade according to Our Lab. test result including cloud point, acid value, easter value, sap. value, hydro-carbon value. During production, our quality inspector will make sampling inspection. Also sample the finished goods for third authority lab according to our client request.

Function:

1. In skin care and cosmetics：Beeswax is used in lip balm, lip gloss, hand creams, and moisturizers; and in cosmetics such as eye shadow, blush, and eye liner. Beeswax is an important ingredient in moustache wax and hair pomades, which make hair look sleek and shiny.

2. In food preparation：Beeswax is used as a coating for food, by sealing out the air, protection is given against spoilage and mold growth. It also can be used as a food additive, in small quantities acting as a glazing agent, which serves to prevent water loss, or to provide surface protection for some fruit.

3. In candle making：Beeswax is further recommended for the making of candles used in the liturgy of the church.

4. In other areas：Beeswax is an ingredient in surgical bone wax, which is used during surgery to control bleeding from bone surface; shoe polish and furniture polish can both use beeswax as a component.
