The use of Danfoss AKS4100-U (084H4520) cable type liquid level sensor

The AKS4100 / 4100U liquid level sensor uses reliable time-domain reflectometry (TDR) or guided radar technology and is specifically designed to measure liquid levels in refrigeration systems. The AKS4100 / 4100U liquid level sensor can be used to measure the liquid level of many different refrigerant containers, gas-liquid separators, liquid reservoirs, risers, etc. The output electrical signal is 4-20mA powered by a 2-wire loop, which is proportional to the refrigerant level. The AKS4100 / 4100U cable version is suitable for most refrigerants, including ammonia, freon, and non-corrosive gases / liquids other than carbon dioxide. The measurement length ranges from 800mm (31.5in.) To 5000mm (197in.). The AKS4100 / 4100U coaxial version is designed for use in carbon dioxide systems. It can also be used in other commonly used refrigerants. Regardless of the refrigerant used in marine applications, the AKS4100 / 4100U coaxial version must be used. The AKS4100 / 4100U cable version must not be used in carbon dioxide systems or marine applications.
Dust, foam, gas, boiling liquid surface, liquids of different densities or different dielectric constants will not affect the performance of AKS4100 / 4100U. The oil accumulated at the bottom of the riser will not interfere with the level signal, so there is no need to remove the AKS4100 / 4100U sensor and then drain the oil in the riser.
