Prism is a polyhedron made of transparent materials (such as glass, crystal, etc.). It is widely used in optical instruments. Prisms are widely used to shift or deviate, and to transform or rotate images, or to separate light according to different wavelengths or polarized light. At the same time, many types of prisms use the characteristics of total internal reflection. The incident angle of light at the boundary between air and glass is greater than the critical angle (such as the critical angle of visible light in BK7 glass is about 42°), which will cause total reflection.
