Reliability

Float-type liquid level sensor: The liquid buoyancy forces the magnet to move up and down, so that the internal reed switch is opened and closed, so the float level sensor easily appear stuck.

Photoelectric liquid level sensor: The optical principle of light reflection or refraction at the interface between two different media is used for liquid level detection. The internal components are resin-sealed without any mechanical moving parts, it has the advantages of high reliability and long life.

Accuracy

Float type liquid level sensor: The accuracy of the existing float type liquid level sensor can only reach ± 3mm, and it may even be higher.

Photoelectric liquid level sensor: The accuracy of the photoelectric liquid level sensor can be controlled within 0.5mm

Application

Float-type liquid level sensor: Affected by the working principle, liquids with high viscosity and impurities cannot be detected. The float will be stuck and unable to operate.

Photoelectric liquid level sensor: It adopts the principle of optical refraction, so it has nothing to do with other properties of the medium including turbidity, pressure, density, electrical parameters, etc.

Installation Ways

Float level sensor: Installation will be limited depending on the product.

Photoelectric level sensor: Can be installed on top, bottom, side, obliquely.

Dirt and hygiene issues

Float-type liquid level sensor: The magnetic magnet in the float easily absorbs impurities in the water to form scale, which is unsanitary. And scale will cause the floating ball to weigh and affect the level accuracy. The floating ball type liquid level sensor has a loose and complicated structure, which is not easy to clean.

Photoelectric level sensor: There is no magnet inside, only a small part of the area is in contact with the liquid, and the head is smooth and easy to clean. And even if a large scale sensor is produced, it can work normally.
