Botanical source: Dried stem and leaf extracts of Epimedium brevicornum Maxim. wushanense T.S. Ying, or the dried stem and leaf extract of Epimedium koreanum Nakai.

It has strong pharmacological and health care values such as: (i) enhancing gonadal function; (ii) regulating the immune function of the body; (iii) promoting bone growth; (iv) slowing down ageing; (v) anti-arrhythmia and increasing cerebral blood flow; (vi) anti-bacterial, anti-viral, hypoglycaemic and hypolipidaemic, and to some extent inhibiting tumour expansion.

Storage conditions: avoid high temperature and humidity

Physical and chemical properties: brown yellow needle-like crystalline powder, soluble in ethanol, insoluble in water.
