Chemical name: β-D-glucopyranoside; [1S-(1a,4aa,5a,7aa)]-1,4a,5,7a-Tetrahydro-5-hydroxy-7-(hydroxymethyl)cyclopenta[c]pyran-1-yl-b-D-glucopyranoside
Component classification: cyclic enol ether terpene glycosides
Physical properties: Peach leaf coral glycoside is white needle-like crystals (ethanol), melting point 181° (ethanol-ether), [α]21D-163.1° (c=1.6). Soluble in water, ethanol and methanol, almost insoluble in chloroform, ether and petroleum ether.
The glycoside bond of peach leaf coral glucoside is easily broken by acid hydrolysis, and the molecule of the obtained glucoside contains hemiacetal structure, which is lively in nature and easily subjected to further oxidation and polymerization reactions, and is a relatively unstable component. The properties of herbs containing peach leaf coral glucoside are very unstable, such as the inner epidermis of fresh Eucommia is originally white, but after processing "sweating" it turns black, the root bark of Xanthium is yellowish white when dug, after drying the inner bark becomes sticky and turns black, these phenomena are related to the decomposition of peach leaf coral glucoside. The effect of pH, ionic strength and metal ions on peach leaf coral glucoside was studied by Chun In Koo et al. who found that peach leaf coral glucoside could degrade rapidly in strong acid to produce brown-black precipitate. Yang Xiaomei et al. studied the effects of light, temperature, weak acids, weak bases and oxidation on peach leaf coral glucoside using high performance liquid chromatography and thin layer chromatography, and found that temperature, weak bases and oxidation have a large effect on its stability, and s ested that the extraction and separation operation should be completed at low temperature (generally below 50 ℃) and within a short time, and the relative stability of peach leaf coral glucoside can be ensured by vacuum drying and then sealed and stored away from light.
