The insulating airspace is filled with air or a noble gas, such as argon or krypton inside. are designed to keep inside warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.This construction increases the insulating value of the glass unit, thus reducing the u-value. A triple insulating glass unit is especially useful in applications where a low u-value is necessary.
