paroxetine hydrochloride (paxil), the scientific name of haloperidol, is a phenylpiperidine compound, developed by GlaxoSmithKline company, launched in 1991. It has a highly selective Chemicalbook5-HT reuptake blocking effect, and its antidepressant intensity is similar to tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs), but the side effects are significantly less than tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs), which belongs to the third generation of antidepressant drugs.

Application

It strongly and selectively inhibits the reabsorption of serotonin by synaptosomes without directly interfering with any central neurotransmitter receptors. Used for depression, especially anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder;

Used as an antidepressant.
