Properties: light yellow powder (or granules) with pungent odor, soluble in water, alcohol, etc., can form poorly soluble compounds with cobalt, copper, nickel and other metal ions.
Uses: Sodium ethylxanthate is the most selective collector in the yellow medicine series products. It can be widely used in the preferential flotation of easily floating or complex non-ferrous metal sulfide ores. It can also be combined with vulcanizing agent for flotation of copper and lead oxide ore. It can also be used as a hydrometallurgical precipitant.
