You know what? The United States alone consumes 60 million plastic water bottles every day, compared to 30 million in Europe and over 100 million globally.

 

Plastic bottles belong to petroleum products, with 151 billion liters of oil used annually for the production of plastic bottles, equivalent to the annual fuel consumption of 500000 cars.

 

The Marine Research Foundation discovered in 2002 that there were 6 kilograms of plastic near the surface of each kilogram of plankton. In certain regions, this data may reach 30-60 times.

 

Nowadays, utilizing recycled materials is a practical approach, but in reality, there are no other fields with advanced recycling technologies like the manufacturing of chemical fibers. Compared to using new plastics, recycled materials can greatly reduce energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. Moreover, valuable raw materials such as crude oil can be preserved, and the amount of waste in landfills will also be reduced.
