Hongmingda international freight forwarders in China recently launched the Haiphong, Vietnam to LB, USA Matson express service and successfully completed the first booking. The client, a long-term partner from a Vietnamese agency, required express shipping, and we secured the first order at a very favorable price.

However, the booking process was extremely urgent. The Vietnamese client confirmed the need for space at around 4 pm on Friday, June 16th, and demanded the SO on the same day, or else his client would cancel the booking. Normally, it takes at least half a day to a full day to secure space, but as professional international freight forwarders in China, we were able to handle this challenge.

Upon hearing this, we immediately confirmed the accurate shipment information with the client and simultaneously coordinated with the agent regarding the space. By the time we received the BOOKING from the client, it was already 5 pm on Friday. We promptly sent the BOOKING to the shipping company and awaited their response.

Typically, after 5 pm, most shipping companies are off duty and unlikely to respond, regardless of the urgency. However, the customer service team at Matson Shanghai remained online, diligently communicating with Matson's Vietnam office to secure the space, updating us every 20 minutes about the status, which eased our concerns. Meanwhile, we kept in constant contact with the client, providing real-time updates to show our efforts in securing the space. This exemplifies our professional approach as international freight forwarders in China.

After receiving the BOOKING at 5 pm, we immediately emailed Matson Shanghai. The team at Matson Shanghai processed the space release in their system and required Vietnam's operations team to issue the documents for container release. This process involved some delay due to the back-and-forth emails and the fact that both Matson's Shanghai and Vietnam document departments were off duty. Unexpectedly, the document teams in both locations worked on their laptops from the subway to assist with the space release, ensuring it was done on the same day. By 7:30 pm Beijing time, we successfully secured the space, which was around 6:30 pm in Vietnam. This successful coordination between Hongmingda international freight forwarders in China and Matson Shanghai showcases our strong partnership.

We promptly sent the SO to the client and notified them by phone that we had secured the SO and sent it to their email. The client was very pleased and thanked us for our support, praising us as experienced international freight forwarders in China. The container was then smoothly loaded onto the planned feeder vessel from Haiphong to Shanghai on June 22nd. The main vessel departed Shanghai on June 29th and arrived in LB, USA on July 10th, with the client retrieving the container on July 11th. The entire journey took 19 days.
