Benzyltriethylammonium chloride is a chemical with the formula C13H22ClN. White crystal or powder. It is hygroscopic. Soluble in water, ethanol, methano l, isopropyl  alcohol, DMF, aceton e and dichloromethan e. It is often used as a catalyst for alkylation reactions. Phase transfer catalyst. Polysubstituted cyclopropan e was synthesized by Mechael addition catalyzed by phase transfer. This product is used as a fungicide. Uses phase transfer catalyst. It is used in nucleophilic substitution, Carbene reaction and alkylation reactions such as C-monoalkylation, n-monoalkylation, 0-monoalkylation and S-monoalkylation. Cannot be blended with anions.
