Working Principle of post tensioning wedge

The clamping-type anchor system generally utilizes the frictional resistance between the prestressed anchor plate and the steel strand to secure the steel strand. The porous prestressed anchor plate system, also known as a cluster anchor system, consists of porous prestressed anchor plates, anchor bearing plates (also known as cast iron bellows, anchor seats), helical bars, or steel mesh sheets. This type of anchor is implemented on a multi-porous anchor plate, with each conical hole holding a pair of prestressed anchor plates to clamp a steel strand.
