The modular design of the SMARTLIGHT IS1B3 traffic controller is necessary to ensure the selection of the optimal configuration of the controller when designing a traffic light facility at a particular intersection, as well as for ease of modernization (reconstruction) of the already operating traffic light facility.

The controller provides any scheme of traffic organization at the intersection. The product can operate as a separate device, and as part of a distributed traffic light control system, with an increase in the number of channels in multiples of 3, up to 96 channels.

Communication between controllers in a distributed system is carried out using an isolated RS485 interface, or via optical, radio communication channels (if appropriate adapters are installed).

In a distributed control system the controller performs the role of a master or slave device without hardware modifications.

The controller provides transition to the emergency shutdown mode of traffic lights in case of overload in the common power supply circuit of traffic light signaling.

The product provides overload and short-circuit protection for each power output.
The controller provides switching of programs in the PU mode, including the LM program, depending on the time of day. Time setting discreteness is 1 minute. The number of switching operations per day is up to 12.

The controller performs diagnostics of load integrity of output power circuits by monitoring their current and comparing it with pre-set values.

The product provides indication of the status of each of the output power circuits.

The controller housing is a cabinet, on the front side of which there is an outward-opening door with two locks and a rubber seal around the perimeter of the door.

GPS and GSM antennas, door opening sensor are fixed on the inner walls of the cabinet. On the left side wall of the cabinet there is a light for convenient maintenance of the controller during operation. The bottom wall of the cabinet has cable entry holes.

The chassis is located inside the enclosure. The chassis includes the supporting frame, circuit breakers, sockets, terminal blocks and other auxiliary elements.

The main equipment of the controller is also located on the chassis, behind a hinged panel with switching and protection devices.

The power and output terminals are also located behind the hinged panel. To access the terminals, pull the hinged panel upward until the latches release, then pull it toward you.

The controller is designed for continuous 24-hour operation in stationary conditions outdoors.

The controller is designed for operation from the electric network, the quality of which meets the requirements of GOST 13109-97.

When implementing a distributed control system, controller modules are located in the equipment installation areas, each in its own hardware cabinet with its own protection systems.
