ZnO surge arrester is perfect over voltage protector through out the world, which brings the ultimate change to the structure of electrical component. Compared to the former SiC arrester, it has the special advantage, such as promote the varistor’s voltage specification and the galvanization ability, which can be made into gapless arrester.


While working under the rated voltage, the current through arrester is only the minimum Amp, while suffer the over voltage, it would be several thousands Amp, so its non-linear character brings into play. At that time, arrester is a galvanization line, it discharge much energy to protect the equipments.


The technical performance of the ZnO surge arrester conforms to Chinese national standard GB11032 and international standard IEC99-4.


ZnO surge arrester is used out-door. The normal conditions are as follow:

1. Ambient temperature within the range of -40℃ to +40℃.

2. Solar radiation should 1.1KW/㎡

3. Altitude should not exceeding 2000m

4. Power frequency within the range of 48Hz to 62Hz

5. The AC voltage which continuously applied on MOA should not exceed the continuous operating voltage of MOA

6. Wind velocity not exceeding 35m/s

7. Earthquake intensity not exceeding 8 degrees
