Metallic standard structured packing can be divided into, gill net ripple packing, pass place ripple packing, silk screen ripple packing and mesh plate ripple packing. They are widely used in separating heat sensitive materials, such as in vacuum fraction processes in the petroleum, chemistry, flavour factory and medicine industries. They can also be used in isotope separation
