The raw powder of HaNPV is a grey powder, whose concentration of active ingredient (virus count) reaches 500 billion PIBs per gram, as the highest concentration ever reported all over the world. The high quality and high concentration makes it easier to be processed into lots of formulations, such as wettable powder (WP), water dispersible granule (WG) or suspension concentrate (SC), etc. The hosts of HaNPV are cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera), oriental tobacco budworm (H. assulta) and corn earworm (H. zea), which infest in the cotton field, tobacco field and vegetable field, and are very sensitive to the virus.
