Photo Luminescent Fibre
Properties:
1. High Intensity
The high intensity PP Photo luminescent fibre is comparable to terylene and samite at
industrial level. Its intensity is double that of normal PP fibre, both in dry and wet form.
2. Small density and moisture absorption
Among all the synthetic fibres, PP fibre has the smallest density. Its density is 60% of
terylene and 80% of samite. Due to this low moisture absorption, it is suitable for use at
sea.
3. Good Friction Property
Friction property of PP fibre is the same in dry or wet form.
4. Stability for Chemicals
As there is no active molecule in PP, it has very good chemical stability in acid and alkalis
and other chemicals. It cannot be corroded by insect, bacilli and anti mildew.
5. Bad heat resistance
If the temperature reaches 120C, the intensity of the PP fibre will reduce.
Application
1. Strip
Taking advantage of the light-weighted, high intensity properties of PP fibre, you can
weave various construction safety strip, automobile safety strip and strips for airplane,
railway, ship, sports and games. Its excellent soft property and high intensity can be made
to produce high-pressure hydrant strips.
2. Rope and thick rope
Due to the anti-high pressure impact characteristic of this fibre, it can be used to produce
thick rope at sea. The rope could float on the surface of the water. It can also produce
mountaineering rope, sports safety rope, etc.
3. Canvas
Canvas made of this fibre is lightweight and has good durability
