Krynac®
Acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR)

Properties

Provided that the compounds are correctly formulated and processed, the vulcanizates have very good resistance to liquid fuels,mineral oils and greases, good resistance to aging, high re-sistance to wear and abrasion, low permeability to gases and good physical properties (e.g. low compression set).

Applications

Krynac® is a base polymer for technical rubber articles that are exposed to mineral oil based fluids and gases: e.g. hoses, seals (including rubber-to-metal composites), membranes.
Further areas of application are: roll covers, coated fabrics (e.g. membranes, printing blankets and flexible containers), sheets, thermoinsulation tubes and sheets, gloves and footwear (e.g.
safety soles, conveyor and transmission belting). If Krynac® is fluxed with PVC in a suitable way, the blend can be applied in hose covers, cable sheathing and others e.g. colored articles with good ozone resistance an sponge rubber for thermoinsulation articles.
