It’s most widely used as a cross-linker in the production of adhesives as well as moisture resistant foundry binders, or to improve the wet strength of paper and the moisture resistance of leather. It’s also used as a cellulose and cellulose ethers, as intermediate for pharmaceuticals, veterinarials, and pesticides.
