General property and features: It is hard, refractory, anti thermal shock, IR absorber, bio-compatible, and dielectric ceramic. The nanopowder will provide higher activity or lower sintering temperature, improved absorption of IR and dielectric loss etc.
Some applications: TiN nanopowders may be used as Barrier layer in contact and interconnect metallizations, Cutting tools, Mould, Gate electrode in metal-oxide-semiconductor (MOS) transistors, Low-barrier Schottky diode, IR absorber filler, Nanocomposites of ceramics and polymer, Optical devices in aggressive environments, Prostheses, Surgical Device, and Wear-resistant coating with some of properties above.
