- Relational standard types: 1600D (1760dtex), 1200D (1320dtex) and 800D (880dtex) filament
- Typical applications:
- Offshore positioning and towing ropes
- Commercial fishing and marine (mooring) ropes
- Yachting ropes, safety slings and arborist lines
- Unaffected by water or detergents
- As strong as wire rope but about 10% of the weight
- Has a low elongation to break, good resistant to UV
- Highly resistant to abrasion, cutting and tearing
