Suspension axles work in torsion. Rubber cartridges are manufactured as described in Suspension Units and then pushed into either end of a length of tube. The length of the tube and the position of mounting brackets which are welded to it are determined by the customer. Axles are supplied ready tracked and can be used as part of the structure of a chassis.
