Besides maintaining the high-impact toughness of traditional tungsten carbide insert bit, the pollycrystalline diamond composite insert bit used for drilling also possesses the high wear resistance of diamond. It is a new type of superhard material product widely used in down-hole hammer bit, roller bit, bore-bit and large-diameter hob drill bit.
This product uses stratified material feed, sinters the multi-layers of diamond powder with different blending of size evenly on the matrix of tungsten carbide under high temperature and high pressure, and forms polycrystalline diamond layer with D-D structure on the composite insert bit surface. It uses gradient transition layer structure to connect the matrix and diamond layer, which greatly relieves the breaking and delamination of diamond layer caused by differences in thermal conductivity coefficient, expansion coefficient and elastic modulus between the two.
