The South African decor and design industry is alive and well. Not even a flattened economy could dampen the enthusiasm of over 52,000 consumers and trade visitors for Decorex Joburg’s 16th anniversary exhibition. Brisk sales from international and local trade buyers were also experienced at The SA Handmade Collection – the dti’s design craft trade show which co-located with Decorex.
Decorex SA, South Africa's pre-eminent décor and design exhibition, owned by Thebe Exhibitions & Projects, is a pioneer of the country’s interior and exterior, décor and design landscapes. Founded in 1994, the award-winning Decorex SA portfolio continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the industry. Attracting over 100 000 discerning visitors and trade buyers – local and international – Decorex Joburg and its counterparts in Cape Town and Durban provide the highest level of return to an ever growing base of select exhibitors.
With 700 exhibitors spread over four halls, and the additional SA Handmade Collection hall representing 200 emerging and established craft enterprises, Decorex is the largest décor and design exhibition in Southern Africa, according to Robinson.
