Quartz Crucible

Quartz crucibles are at 1450 degrees below the use of two kinds of sub-transparent and opaque.

Quartz crucible can be burned at 1700 degrees below, but the ignition temperature is higher than
1100 degrees of quartz becomes opaque, so the melting temperature should not exceed 800 °.
HF can not contact,At  high temperature, it's easily affecting with causticity  alkali and alkali metal carbonate .
Quartz crucible is suitable for  K2S2O7, KHSO4 as the flux for melting the sample as well  as the Na2S207 (first in the 212-degree dry) . Quartz is easy brittle and break ,so note when used it. In addition to HF, the ordinary dilute inorganic acid can be used as cleaning
 fluid.
