1. System profile

Travelling tower crane anti-collision and zone protection system is provide with zone protection control function and moment protection function, it is fit for tower crane and luffing crane. Each system including controller, LCD monitor, sensor, controller output cable, GPRS-GTU etc. Controller according to the set of tower crane parameters, site area and real-time motion of tower crane, monitoring and prohibition may result in a collision, the trolley into the protection zone and other accidents. The system is able to real-time monitoring jib load, real-time displaying and preventing over load.

2. Main functions

Measuring function Real-time measurement of tower crane location, jib position, trolley radius (for luffing crane is jib angle and jib tip radius), lift weight, etc.

Display function Real-time display location of the tower crane and jib position, trolley radius(for luffing crane is jib angle and jib tip radius), lift weight, trolley location corresponding to the rated load, actual load and rated load percentage, and so on.

Alarm function In the load and distance to reach the preset alarm threshold (95% rated load or preset alarm distance) when the sound and light alarm (buzzer continuous tweets, monitor show moment column on yellow); Loading, distance, etc to achieve a pre-determined dangerous threshold (105% rated load or pre-set dangerous distance) when the sound and light alarm (buzzer Bell, the moment on the monitor column displays red); When the controller failure, located at the top of the cab warning lamp (optional) alarm signals.

Sensor calibration function After the installation of a few simple actions to complete sensor calibration and accurate measurements.

Operation record function The controller is able to record control actions and output to the supervisory computer to read historical data.

Tower crane load table update function The controller stores common tower crane load table parameter, and it can be updated by user (version supported, users need to install and run Microsoft Access).

Anti-collision. According to the real time positions of tower cranes, allow or prohibit the movement of trolley and slewing. Include 11 contacts: 4 contacts for trolley(high speed forwards, low speed forward, high speed back wards, low speed back wards); 7 contacts for slewing(left high speed, left low speed, right high speed, right low speed, left inverse ejecting, right inverse ejecting, braking).

Wireless Communication. Each controller could communicate wirelessly among tower cranes and accomplish anti-collision and zone protection. Each controller could be added or quit the network without effecting other tower cranes`work.

Data Set and Wirelessly Upload. All the data about site, tower crane and zone could be set on the computer in the office and wirelessly upload them to each controller on the to
