Bronze Dragon and tiger Zun
Product Description
Dragon-Tiger Zun, unearthed in Funan, Anhui in 1957, is a typical round Zun with a big spout, wide shoulder and high hoop leg. The shoulder and belly are the most wonderful parts of the Dragon-Tiger Zun. At the shoulder, there are three relief dragons with protruding heads as the adornments for the sacrificial ware. The belly under the dragon's heads is divided into three independent parts with one head and two tigers on each part. The tigers hold nude tattooed figures with curled arms and legs in the animal's mouths.
Dragon-Tiger Zun is 50.5cm high, spout diameter 44.7cm, and weights about 20kg. Kept in the national Museum of China.
