I. HDPE Description

HDPE is used in a variety of applications and industries where excellent impact resistance, high tensile strength, low moisture absorption and chemical and corrosion resistance properties are  required.

 

II. HDPE Characteristics

Advantages:

²  Resists organic solvents, degreasing agents & electrolytic attack.

²  Excellent chemical resistance.

²  Good Fatigue & Wear Resistance

²  Good electrical insulation

²  High flexibility (also at low temperature)

²  The machanical strength of surface hardness , stretching intensity and rigidity is higher than LDPE.

²  Good protection against stress cracking

²  Super low water absorption

²  Low steam permeability

²  Food safe

Disadvantages:

²  Poor mechanical properties

²  Poor ventilation, easy deformation, easyaging, brittle-prone, easy stress cracking

²  Low surface hardness, scratch easily.

²  Difficult to print

²  Surface is lackluster

²  HF welding not recommended

²  Difficult to varnish and glue

²  Not weather resistant

 

III.  HDPE Applications

²  Used to the packaging film, rope, bags, fishing nets

²  Used to commodity housing, non-load bearing components, plastic box, turnover box

Used to extrusion blow molding containers
