Malaria is a major parasitic disease, which is endemic in many countries in various areas of the world. Each year it causes up to 3 million deaths and close to 5 million cases of clinical illness worldwide [4]. Diagnosis of malaria using traditional methods can be difficult and often requires precise and meticulous microscopy. The thin and thick blood smears are labor-intensive and require skilled handling. Even under ideal conditions, microscopic examination of stained blood smears is less than 100% sensitive.
One Step Malaria P. F. Test is a simple, rapid test for the diagnosis of malaria using serum/plasma samples. A positive result by One Step malaria P. F. Test allows for detection of malaria parasites and for differentiation of Plasmodium Falciparum (P. F. ) from other less virulent malaria species.
