With high quality bauxite as raw material, it is produced in the based of smelting the vice-white fused alumina, adjusting smelting process and ratio of raw materials, melting at the high temperature of above 2100℃ in the electric furnace, and using a special broken treatment technique. Since it’s hardened and toughness is between white fused alumina and brown fused alumina, it is called semi-friable fused alumina.

It is characterized by high temperature resistance, corrosion and erosion resistance, low apparent porosity and stable thermal stability.

Its grain is characterized by strong self-sharpening, sharp grinding edges and not easy to burn work piece.

After the grain of semi-friable fused alumina is processed, the relatibe ability of grinding resistance of semi-friable fused alumina increase, which is particularly applicable for grinding thermo sensitive steel and alloy, low hardness, lower non-ferrous metal materials such as aluminum, copper, zinc, plum bum and none –metallic materials such as wood, plastic, and it is widely used for the production of bonded and coated abrasives.

The excellent quality alumina as material, semi-brittle fused alumina is made in the electric arc furnace. Its characteristics are: high temperature resistance, erosion –resistance, low porosity, steady thermal performance.

Main performance & application:
Semi-brittle fused alumina is combine brown and white fused alumina into high degree abrasives products. It has broad application.
Semi-brittle fused alumina has good roughness and self – sharpening. It is applied in the production of ceramics abrasives, resin abrasives and coated abrasives. Bond abrasives have high wear-resistance, good self-sharpening and retention. In the same condition, the surface quality of work pieces, process efficiency and durability are superior to brown, white, zirconia, monocrystalline. It is applied in coarse grinding that can improve process efficiency. It is applied in fine grinding that can improve surface quality of work pieces.
Bond abrasives are applied in processing steel, bear steel, stainless steel and tool steel. Cr、w、Mo、V、Co low content special alloy steel, part of cast iron, all kinds of non-ferrous metal.
Application: in the processing of synthetic material, veneer, laminate, thin board, hardwood, softwood, lacquer, leather.
