Features:
Melamine foam is compound of chemicals specifically made for its weird structure. It forms into a block of solid tiny fibers, especially use for eroding the stain off the surface.
However, melamine foam does not have just one use. It is extremely fireproof, and because of the air between the particles, it can be used as a sound proofer, because it absorbs and blocks sound. Melamine foam is also used as insulation for pipes because it cuts down on noise and vibration.
Melamine foam was first used for cleaning purposes, but then the use spread all around. So it seems that from that stain on the floor, to the pipes in your walls, we owe a lot to Melamine foam.
Applications:
1. Acoustic insulating properties－sound needs to be contained and sound reverberations are stopped.
2. Fire retardant－a great heat insulator for stopping burning immediately after removal of external ignition source and fuel.
3. Insulation for aircraft cabins－It is a marked improvement from glass fiber pads, which were used in the past to insulate aircraft cabins. It is flexible, easy to install, and longer-lasting than the glass fiber.
4. Installation－ Melamine foam is easy to cut to the size you need. Melamine foam's flexibility and light weight make it very simple to install. It can be cut at any thickness and size and its self-adhesive backing is easily attached. If the surface is clean and dry, the foam will stick.
