Battery pack can support System Management Bus (SMBus) protocol.

There can be distinct SMBus for each section. The following data shall be available through SMBus.

• State of charge
• Battery temperature
• Cell voltages
• Current drawn from the cells
• Failure messages
• Charging status
• Discharging status
