Product Description
Cross Laid Wire Rope- The element wires of different layers cross each other at points (Point-contact).
Features:-
- In addition to the center wires, the wire diameter of each layer is equal.
- Because small area of contact leaves relatively large spaces between wires, wires are easy to have a large relative sliding and can break easily, especially when the ropes have to bend a lot around the drum or pulley, fatigued from primary and secondary bending.
- Layered twist forming.
- Very flexible, and widely used in making rope slings that are subject to bending fatigue.
Constructions: 1x7, 1x19, 6x7, 6x19, 6x19 IWRC, 6x12, 6x24, 6x30, 6x37, 6x37 IWRC.
Applications: Slings, Fisheries, Lashings and Moorings.
