Parallel laid (Line contact) rope- Each element wire is laid parallel to another element wires on adjacent layer, meeting each other along a line.

Features:

• With wider area of contact, relative sliding between element wires is largely reduced to minimize wire breaks caused by internal wire wear, especially when the ropes are subject to repeated bending.
• The wire diameter of each layer is different, and maintains a certain ratio.
• All wires have the same twist direction and twist distance.
• The twist angle of wires on inner layer is smaller.
• Single twist forming.
• Almost no inside wear.
• No fatigue from secondary bending.
• No destruction of strand shape as strand element wires are packed tightly into each other.
• High breaking strength as effective cross sectional metal area is bigger.
• Easy to loose.
• Poor flexibility.
