The first phase of a legal due diligence for a Chinese company is litigation check that looks at involvement in legal disputes, administrative remarks from the authorities, bankruptcy and debtor records.  The key sources are public announcements released by The People’s Court, National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System and online news sources. The litigation check will also search for records in China’s Social Credit System that is a public shame list with companies and individuals that have failed to meet legal obligations or violated local laws.

The litigation check looks into the following information:
