Flat UV curing machine is a kind of equipment used to cure UV ink, paint, and varnish, which has the characteristics of energy saving and adjustable speed.
1. Structural composition
1. UV lamp system
• UV lamp tube: This is the core component, usually using mercury lamp. Mercury lamp has high luminous efficiency and high ultraviolet intensity; the wavelength of ultraviolet light emitted by the lamp tube is generally between 365-405nm, which is suitable for the curing reaction of most UV light-curing materials.
• Reflector: Surrounding the lamp tube, it is mostly made of high-reflectivity materials, such as aluminum reflector. 2. Conveying system
• Conveyor belt: Made of high-temperature and ultraviolet-resistant materials, such as Teflon conveyor belt or metal sheet conveyor belt. It is used to convey flat materials that need to be cured, such as printed materials, coating materials, etc. The speed of the conveyor belt can be adjusted by the motor speed control system to meet different curing speed requirements.
• Transmission device: including motor, reducer and transmission wheel, etc., to provide power for the conveyor belt to ensure that the conveyor belt can run smoothly and at a uniform speed.
3. Curing chamber
• It is a closed space with a UV lamp system installed inside. The outer shell of the curing chamber is generally made of metal, and the inner wall has good reflective properties and good sealing to prevent ultraviolet leakage, while also reducing the interference of external factors on the curing process.
4. Control system
• Equipped with an intelligent controller, the conveyor belt speed, UV lamp power, curing time and other parameters can be adjusted through the control panel. Some advanced control systems can also store the curing parameter settings of different materials for users to call directly. At the same time, the control system can also monitor the operating status of the equipment, such as lamp temperature, conveyor belt running speed, etc., and will sound an alarm when an abnormal situation occurs.
2. Working principle
The flat material is placed on the conveyor belt, and the conveyor belt sends the material into the curing chamber at a uniform speed. In the curing chamber, the UV lamp emits ultraviolet rays to irradiate the surface of the material. The energy of the ultraviolet rays is absorbed by the photoinitiator in the material, triggering a polymerization reaction of the photocurable material, so that the material is quickly cured from a liquid or semi-liquid state to a solid state. By adjusting the speed of the conveyor belt and the power of the UV lamp, the time the material is exposed to ultraviolet light can be controlled to achieve the best curing effect.
