To remove the H₂S in pipeline gas of city, water gas, semi-water gas, coke oven gas and , Zhongyuan Institute of Chemical purification and us together research and developed the XYF-1 granular iron oxide desulfurizer, which has the features as following:

1、High desulfurization precision: when the H₂S content reach to 2000mg/Nm³ in inlet, it will be decreased into below 5mg/Nm³.

2、Large sulfur capacity: 6%-8% for one time.

3、High water resistance strength:  not change to mud under the condition of boiling for 2 hours or soaking for 15 days; after drying, the activation and strength not change.

The desulfurizer is suitable for the removal of H₂S from water gas, semi-water gas, coke oven gas, and city pipeline gas.

Second, Desulfurization and regeneration theory:

Fe₂O₃·XH₂O+3H₂S== Fe₂S₃·XH₂O+3H₂O(desulfurization chemical formula)

Fe₂S₃·XH₂O+3/2O₂== Fe₂O₃·XH₂O+3S(regeneration chemical formula)

The H₂S reacts with the activated iron oxide in desulfurizer and produce sulphide. Then the sulphide reacts with oxygen in feed gas and produce elemental sulfur which will deposit in the micro-pore of desulfurizer thus making the desulfurizer regenerate and reaching to the goal of desulfurization.
