Sorghum is an annual grass plant which is mainly cultivated for purposes of human food and animal feeds. It is among the five top cereal crops in the world, along with wheat, oats, corn, and barley. The grains or seeds of sorghum are the important feed ingredients for both cattle and poultry. These are rich in protein and have lower fat contents and thus are excellent sources for the livestock feeds.
