ince July 1st 2006, EU has implemented RoHS directive (2002/95/EC) to restrict limit value of six hazardous substances (Hg, Pb, Cd, Cr6+, PBB, PBDE) in 8 categories of electrical & electronic products.

          Revision of RoHS directive is also known as RoHS 2.0, which brings a lot of changes. However, its basic objective and mechanism are of no change. The ultimate objective of RoHS 2.0 directive is to reduce the content of certain hazardous substances in electrical & electronic products. Currently, main Extended Product Scope

         Regulated Product scope is extended to all electrical & electronic equipment  (except for special exemption) designed to use no more than 1000V AC or 1500V DC which are operated depending on electricity or electromagnetic field, and which could produce, transmit or measure electricity & electromagnetic field.

        Restricted substance:
RoHS 2.0 may also add additional substances to the RoHS list, including hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD), bis-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), butly benzyl phthalate (BBP), and dibutylphthalate (DBP).
